Comments
Comments: Trail was easily barebooted until partway up the eroded gully section. From there until basically the top it was ice, ice, and more ice. Traction definitely recommended, crampons not overkill in some sections. Even with traction, bushwhacking around the worst sections was easier. Higher up close to the left turn away from the ski trail, some sections had a dusting to 1" or so of snow, giving a little traction. Closer to the outlook, everything is mostly snow covered, making travel a bit easier. Some breakable ice crust in the muddy spots between the outlook and last ascent section. Beside the ice, it was a beautiful day to be out. Maybe Santa will bring us some snow!
