i would suggest you drive very slowly on Shem Valley road. There are a few ruts in it that can pull your car, and its not the best dirt road in the world. |

It seemed to me that all the ice on the ledge was strategically placed over the trail marker that is on the ledge, resulting in missing your turn. If you dont know this mountain like the back of your hand i would really suggest you wait until spring. The ice right at tree line blocks all the markers and you can easily get lost. |
