Not a problem--many ways around the ice-covered rocks, b/c water is on the low side |

| Comments: |
Trail icy about 3000 feet and very icy above 4000--light traction essential (I also used a Leki pole). Trail low down is dry, then long stretch of on and off ice, hard to know just when to put on/take off traction. I spent the night near the summit in Garfield Ridge shelter--nice! Great sunset views from Garfield and stars blazing at night. Spring is running well still at shelter. |
