| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Haystack Road is closed. Plenty of space at the winter lot at the end of Little River Road. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Ice - Blue, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
We were able to avoid the first two river crossings by using the "almost maintained trail" quality bushwhack. The third crossing was relatively easy using the rocks right below the fallen tree while using the tree like a handrail. The other stream crossings were easily crossed by hopping rock-to-rock. Most of the rocks had a layer of ice covering them so microspikes and trekking poles made things easier. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There has been quite a bit of work on the snow mobile trail leading from the winter lot at the end of Little River Road and Haystack Road. There were several areas were drainage seemed to be an issue so they were quite muddy. |

| Comments: |
The trail at the lower elevations was bare with some muddy sections. Along the middle section there was some snow and ice but able to bare boot it. There was considerable ice along the upper elevations. |
