Comments
Comments: The last 50' altitude scramble to the peak was almost un-doable in micro-spikes. Risk of fall is significant, everything completely iced over, wet unpredictable slush patches in some of the places that looked like footing yielded alarming slips. It was by far the most hazardous and challenging peak push of the early winter conditions - sheet ice over everything. Likely frozen in even more by now. The trail was ice below slush, so with freezing it'll be a real meaty challenge - a nice layer of snow over it now is what's needed. Punched through to 6-12" deep water/mud in several places just below the peak ledges. All in all, I was very glad to get down in one intact piece, an unscheduled 20' glissade on my backside down off the peak was hair-raising to say the least.
