Significant ice flows start just below Zeacliff. I used the micros from the flows to Zealand and back. There are some parts with no ice but it was easier and safer to wear the spikes. The Lend-A-Hand was a pleasant suprise. Great trail, no ice. Minor ice just off the summit of Hale on the Hale Brook Trail. No need for the spikes on HBT. I was able to side step the bad spots . A light covering of snow will make these trails treacherous because of the ice.
The Zealand Rd. is still open |
