Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The largest one on the logging road portion of the trail was a little bit tricky due to wet and icy rocks. Otherwise, no issues.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Took out a few blowdowns on Bunnell Notch Trail, but more remain. Nothing too bad. Cabot Spring Trail is very overgrown, has blowdowns, and would be quite hard to follow with snowpack.

Comments
Comments: Other than a few sprinkles of rain/sleet early, weather generally wasn't bad (though summit was in the fog). Patches of black and blue ice on the lower portion of the route. Approaching the notch, roots and rocks were glazed in black ice, but a lack of snowpack made Microspikes excessive.

Microspikes came in handy near Bunnell Rock and above, as there were a few ice flows, as well as some black ice. A dusting to an inch of snowpack up high. 2-6" of snow on the Cabot Spring Spur. Spring was flowing, but would be very hard to find with snowpack due to very vague trail and somewhat nondescript location.
