Comments
Comments: Trail has anywhere from a dusting to 3" of snow, increasing in depth with the altitude. Ice under snow and visible on ledges between first crossing on Avalon Trail and side trails to Beecher and Pearl Cascades. Mt. Tom Spur was the iciest section of trail. Some places barely had any snow disguising the ice underneath, but most of it had enough snow for traction. Barebooted to the summit and wore microspikes all the way down until past the first water crossing on Avalon Trail.
