Comments: What a mess.

Headed up Crawford Path and found mostly a mix of mud, rock and small patches of ice. By Mitzpah cutoff, more significant slush which continued pretty much uninterrupted all the way to the hut and up to Pierce. Major ice flows all over the Crawford Path, mainly above the Mitzpah cutoff. Barebooted to part way up the Webster Cliff trail above the hut then put on microspikes for the balance of the trip. The slush and relatively soft ice made traction Ok but when this freezes up, will be alternately treacherous on the ice flows and real ankle twisting in the currently slushy areas. Bring spikes- probably too much rock for crampons.
