Comments
Comments: Started with 1-2" of snow at the trail head, and around 3" closer to the summit. There was a lot of ice on all the rocks, but since they were snow covered, travel was a bit quicker and easier. Only wore microspikes on the way down for extra traction, but they could be used both ways, especially in the upper switchbacks, where some of the ledges are mostly encased in ice and not as easy to skirt around. Saw only one person all day, passed him about half way down on my way out. Beautiful blue skies, winter wonderland trees and nice views with the Presidentials in the clear.
