Trail hard packed overlain with a thin layer of fresh snow at low elevations. Nearer the summit ridge the new snow depths were two to three inches with drifts up to two feet. No ice on trail. Kilkenny trail sign on the top of Mt Waumbek about two feet above snow level. No other hikers on the trail today. The snowshoe track continued on towards Mt Weeks. |
