Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easy hops today, no ice on the rocks.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some heavy erosion on the northern portion of Livermore Trail, looks like it was probably Irene related, not Sandy. Many blowdowns to contend with, one completely blocking the trail. Beyond the pass, there were a couple of stepovers to deal with, but the trail was in much better shape. Mt. Tripyramid Trail before the slide was in good shape, the base of the slide was icy as predicted, but above the first 60-70 vertical feet, it was clear, with only very minor ice in some cracks, easily avoidable. A couple major blowdowns between North and Middle, and some major erosion and heavy blowdowns on the top section of Pine Bend Brook. The rest of Pine Bend in good shape. All ice is minor and avoidable as of this report.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a labradoodle between Middle and North, looked to be having fun.

Comments
Comments: Perfect day to do this loop. Started in a grid-backed base layer, light base layer tights under pants, hat, gloves... eventually ditched the hat and gloves and was comfortable the whole day. The north portion of Livermore Trail is nice, even with its damaged sections. The north slide was fantastic, way better than last time out, and climbing it was a blast. The rest of the hike was really uneventful, and the trails never threw anything at us that we weren't prepared for. What a great couple of weeks weatherwise!
