 | Comments: |
frozen trail down low with sections of ice beginning in the switchbacks. much of it was avoidable with care. a dusting of snow in places as well. some sections of packed powder snow higher up and on the final ascent to the summit on the ridge trail. a couple significant bits of ice on the final climb. we used microspikes for descending the upper part of garfield trail and for the final climb to the summit.
a pretty perfect november day in the mountains. thanks to cynthia for a nice hike.
