Today there was plenty of space. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Easy rock hops, maybe a wet rock or two needed despite the low water levels. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Great job Bryan on the blowdowns. That took a lot of work. The big stuff that is left is no hindrance now and shouldn't be in winter. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Easy and fun day for Pepper. He didn't need much water with the easy trails and comfy temps, but it's there in the streams. Met Bella, a happy and very nice dog. |

It's easy to get into a nice hiking rhythm on these trails; it's the best part of hiking these peaks. I can't believe I used to lament the long approach to the loop trails. The open hardwoods in the sun are really nice. There is very little ice, and it was solid and welcome on the mud pits. The trails are fast; there is no need for traction. I expected to see more hikers given the great weather, but maybe they were all doing the Presi peaks. |
