Comments
Comments: Almost no wind, and only 2 parties encoutered on this fine day! Did not need micropsikes for any of these trails, though there was ice and snow. Above treeline its basically summer rock hopping with residual snow and blue ice between the rocks. Westside is nice, but would have a nasty sideslope if you were considering that in winter when snow fills in.

That being said, it has been very cold at lower elevations, and teens tonight, so if hiking the 4ks this weekend, don't assume "if washington doesn't need micro's nothing does." Areas in the trees or with water flows are and will be very icy, making carrying traction wise.

Monroe loop looked totally snow covered still, so I would expect you would need at least micro's for that and ammo right now.
