We ascended and decended via Valley Way. We barebooted the entire hike with the exception of our descent on the upper part of Valley Way. There was a dusting of snow covering the rocks and icy patches which made for slow going today. Comming out in the waning light, we put on our headlamps about an hour or so from the parking lot. Met up with a hiker from New Jersey who had stayed at Crag Camp the night before. His headlamp was failing and he was very happy to hike the rest of the way down with us. Nice day out with Sandy and Dick. |
