Comments
Comments: Another great day. We started early about 7am and finished about 1pm. It was a tale of elevations though. There was snow the whole way going up north twin which built to 6+ inches if you stepped off the trail at any point. Everything was hard packed and Robie put his micro spikes on at the beginning of the climb up North Twin and I got by until we began to descend South Twin.

What changed was descending from Galehead Hut became a cold shower as the temps rose and snow on the trees began to melt. From 4000 to 3000 feet was nasty. Once we dropped down below that level the snow was already off and it eventually disappeared all together as we hit the long flat gale river walk out. Glad we started early.

Lot's of folks out today and lots of young faces. Looks like a new generation is getting out and enjoying fall/early winter conditions.
