| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I took out a bunch of blowdowns on Mt. Tripyramid on the way to the south slide. I finaly said to Pepper I'd done enough and walked by two more, and they turned out to be the last ones. I would have gotten them if I'd known that. There's maybe a big one on it and Scaur that are beyond trail saws but no problem to hikers. All the blowdowns up on the ridge and down some on Pine were easy thanks to Wolfgang and a walk around. Otherwise the trails are decent for this time of year. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Fun day for Pepper. We didn't see anyone until after Middle, and then just one other group (with a dog) until way down, so he was pretty free to check everything out. The slide was no problem and Scaur is a delight. He even enjoyed a dip when we got back to Mt. Tripyramid to the south slide. |

This is a nice hike when the leaves are down. The sun didn't come out until noonish, but it made for a very pleasant woods stroll down. The slide is still doable with plenty of bare slide and ledge, and some slippery but easy to handle ledge when the trail goes into the woods. I'd bring spikes but as of today they would get heavily abraded if used. Another splendid day out with Pepper. |
