Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty. Zealand Road is still open with just a trace of snow on it.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth

Water Crossing Notes: Easy rock hops

Trail Maintenance Notes: Minimal blowdowns, easy to go around

Dog-Related Notes: None seen today. Only problem for dogs would have been wet feet at lower elevation leading to icing higher up where it was much colder.

Comments
Comments: Great day on the trail. Damp/muddy/minimal packed snow lower down. Above the hut there was mostly packed snow (not deep, no drifts) with some ice under it. Light traction was helpful for the decent back to Zealand Hut.
