Comments
Comments: Snow started pretty much at the parking lots increasing to 4-6 inches along Garfield Ridge Trail with maybe 8 inches on the North Twin Spur and headed down North Twin Trail. Footing generally good as the snow was pretty grippy until the ridge. It was way better on the Gale River bypass now that the mud there has frozen up..good footing there. We joked that in a few places that snowshoes would have been easier in the choppy stuff but soon enough. Lots of people on the trails today..many in microspikes though we barebooted without much trouble. Some icy spots on the South Twin climb though the ice was fairly soft today and presented no real issues. A little windy on the summits, especially South though we lingered at all the viewpoints today in the exceptional visibility. Nice to run into Waumbek today. Terrific day on the trails with Tim and Valerie
