Comments
Comments: We booted up and were on our way with a dusting of snow on the trail and trees. Frozen mud gave way to ice here and there on the lower section of the Garfield Trail. We bare booted to the spur path then put on light traction to the summit. There was about 2” of snow at the top with trees covered with 4” rime ice feathers. Visibility was great and we all took turns opining on what peaks were in view. Following lunch at the spur path intersection, we started down keeping our micro spikes on until we got to the logging road. Arrived back at the trailhead about 2:30 p.m. It was a lovely day and John is nearing the end of his quest for “48 over 70”. Hope your knee is better Carl.
