Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None via this route. By the look of the Mad River and the sound of the Tecumseh Brook, it would have required wading.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Significant blowdowns above 3,000 feet. From the ski area vista up, all blowdowns have been removed, except for a few leaners/widowmakers. Will have to do the lower trail at a later time.

Comments
Comments: Went up the access road to the tower, then went in via the Sosman Trail. Quite a few blowdowns, including many blocking the corridor. All have been removed.

Descended on the Mt. Tecumseh Trail. Quite a few blowdowns above 3,500 feet. Except for an uproot section and a few overhead leaners, all have been removed above the ski area vista spur. It was 8:00 at this point and the brook was roaring, so I bailed onto the ski trails.

Lots of erosion noted on parts of the trail that don't have waterbars, especially in the upper elevations. More water damage noted above 3,500 feet than from Irene (but lower elevations appear to have fared much better). Water still cascading down parts of the trail without drainage.
