Comments
Comments: A great day to be on a trail. Trail was well packed and snowshoed by Ed Hawkin's and Becca Munroe's AMC group today. Also met Jerry Horne, and his companions. He has only Adams and Monroe to complete his winter 48's. He is 77 years old and has the fiery eyes of a young hiker; great inspiration to keep going.
Skied in on Sawyer Road and left skis close to the first river crossing. Next time I'll carry them to the place where the trail leaves the main brook. There are no low branches to impede carryin skis tied to a pack. There is at least a mile of easy XC skiing to where Signal Ridge trail begins to climb.
