Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We did the single crossing off the bushwack and it was icebridged. It appeared the second crossing had been used and was icebridged. Still a few very small stepover wet drainages.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some blowdowns but nothing problematic. Pretty fast trails as expected.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The mighty tough little dog had it mighty easy today. Probably the same for Cincilla the happy airedale we met.

Comments
Comments: Everyone hiking the whole trail had snowshoes on. Trail packed enough to bareboot perhaps, but the energy loss on the climbs in the "sandy" snow would be significant. The whole hike in to South Twin was in or under the clouds, but at the peak the Presis sometimes shown brightly above the clouds, and occasionally so did some other peaks. It was beautiful when they appeared and as we hiked back to North Twin they stayed clear longer and longer. Tolerable wind on South Twin; no problem elsewhere. We met three people who we had met on Carrigain last week, including Hiker Bob with his sixtopus. Met two others coming up from the Galehead Hut. It would have been nice to hike over to a second car at Beaverbrook but the little mutt won't drive the Corolla until the recalls are done.
