Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Easy crossings today, rock hopping all the way!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Twin brook was beautiful and in great shape for a trail in the wilderness zone. Franconia brook had a slightly "wilder" feeling, more mossy rocks, slippery footing, trees grown in, in places. Both trails super easy to follow.

Lost and Found: saw a couple baseball hats along the way, we left them where we found them.

Comments
Comments: Great loop on this warm beautiful day! Lots of leaves off the trees down low made for some tricky footing in places. Gale River trail had quite a bit of dry mud on reroute, (once it rains, it has potential to be a mess). Blue sky and white birch trees on Twinway were wonderful!

13 Falls tentsite in good shape, passed 2 guys who had stayed the night before. New Garfield shelter is georgeous! I could live there!
