Comments
Comments: Followed snowmobile trail and Haystack Road to summer trailhead. Took herd path to avoid first and second river crossings going in. Third crossing was okay. On descent, stayed on NTT - second and first crossings were okay. Trail had a little powdah over a very firm base. Bare booted (stiff boots) to North Twin, then snowshoed to South Twin, back to North Twin and down to third crossing, then barebooted, then snowshoed from second crossing through first crossing, then barebooted back to parking area. Took old trail/herd path from summer trailhead back to parking area - not as sled-friendly as Road and sno-mo trail. There is an animal carcass (moose, I think) in the Little River about 200 feet above the third crossing.
