Comments
Comments: trails were generally wet with minor mud and slippery rock most of the way. some larger pits of mud in spots, but never too bad. leaves mostly down and blanketing the footbed. short spur beyond the clearing and "summit sign" leading to the true highpoint is really wearing in. after many cabot ascents finally took the side trip to the spring. the trail was steep, rough and grown in, but did lead to a pretty nice little spring. nice morning on cabot. ended up in clouds with stiff winds and rime ice falling off of the trees up high. some sun down low on the return. thanks to cynthia for a good hike.
