Comments
Comments: forecast sounded dire so we opted for a woods walk today. not much in the way of views but never got rained on. leaf covered trail gave way to snow and slushy snow above 3200 feet today though things were melting this afternoon. pretty much solid crust cover to the ridge with some ice though we barebooted to around 4000 feet.

once to the ledges micros made travel much easier on the Kinsman Ridge Trail ledges though some barebooted with obvious caution with some icy spots. Trail between the peaks barebootable if you tromped on moss but we kept the spikes on and stayed on trail. windy and in the fog on South Kinsman where we did not linger. kept spikes on until 3500 on descent which made for very easy going. congrats to Valerie for finishing round 8 on South Kinsman today
