Comments
Comments: To access all trails from the Mt Battie road entrance you pay $4.50/person, which we did for this hike. All other trail access is no charge. I prefer the Mt Battie Trail from Megunticook St. right in Camden. It provides a steep ledge scramble to the tower on Mt Battie and connects to the Tablelands Trail just down the access road. The summit is wooded but lots of great views from the ledges. The summit sign is gone but a large cairn marks the spot.
