Comments
Comments: On the map, this looked like a shorty to a little (1,845 ft.) view-peak that I could polish off in a couple of hours. It took considerably longer, both because the Trail takes a long time to get there, meandering up and down for a couple of miles before finally heading up, and because rocks wet from overnight rain slowed me down. Some nice views from ledges on the summit loop, esp. Sunset Ledge at its west end, but they would be better in the late afternoon, with the setting sun painting Katahdin's west face.
