This is a very nice hike. Trail is fairly well maintained, but rough and strenuous. Went up and over Cranberry Peak to AT junction just beyond beautiful Cranberry Peak Pond and then went up AT a bit. Returned same way. Trails were well marked. Views from upper portion of Cranberry Peak were spectacular - a full 360!
The lower portion of the trail had on major annoyance: the sounds and smells of the nearby Stratton Lumber mill were quite pervasive. Kind of took away the wilderness feel of the area.
