Comments
Comments: The most notable thing about this hike is that old Fire Tower is gone! They are putting up a new communications tower, which appears to be well along. There has been lots of tree cutting to allow helicopters to land there with people and construction equipment. Quite a scene. The cutting has opened up summit views.

The trail itself is a rough, but easy 4.5 mile RT. There are no views during the summer months until you get to a clearing just below the summit. There are few remains of the former firewarden cabin, except a small clearing and a wood shed above it that is visible from the trail.
