Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at first parking area near sign. Plenty of room there. Road continues to pond, where there's a second parking area (with a Buick sedan!), but it's rough with several big puddles. I was driving a jeep and probably could have made it to the second parking area with no problem but opted to leave car at first area.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No major problems.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is steep, but rock steps make for good footing. One area of significant mud with rotting logs that tend to sink in. Risk of falling in mud if you don't have poles.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Deer flies swarmed around car at parking area. Major problem there. Got stung by mosqitoes on return trip near bottom of trail.

Comments
Comments: Very wet day. Thunderstorm then heavy rain in morning, fortunately not when I was on the summits. Then rain picked up again on way down. Yesterday it rained too, so there was a lot of water.
