Parking/Access Road Notes: Pull off on Deer Hill Road just west of the trailhead (no text sign, but a hiker logo).

Water Crossing Notes: Only one brook crossing (rock hop) flowing. Others had bridges, though quite a few of the bridges were washed out (water not currently flowing at those crossings).

Bugs: Deer flies on the north side of the pond were horrendous - easily the worst I've dealt with this year.

Comments
Comments: Trail was generally dry with a few minor mud areas on the Shell Pond Loop Trail. By the looks of it, the water comes rushing across the east end of the Shell Pond Trail during downpours/runoff, so this may not be the best rainy day hike.
