 | Comments: |
The Bald Peak ascent up the mountain has good footing except the final 0.3 miles above Sue's Way Trail to North Ridge Trail is ledgy, rocky footing and steep in places. The Ridge walk from Bald Peak to Southwest Peak is easy going with some ups and downs. Lots of tasty blueberries on the extensive open ledges on the ridge! Spotted Fireweed, Harebell, and Goldenrod in blossom.
Nice views down to Moose Pond but the summertime haze limited views toward the White Mountains.
Many cleared areas just west of the trail in some sections along the Bald Peak Trail on the ridge. |
