Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Hot muggy day and sad to report that I was part of a dog rescue off of Twin Brook Trail today. If you own a dog, please do not make them hike on hot days, and don't bring dogs that are not used to hiking. Carrying a 100 lbs dog off a mountain in 85 degree heat put three others at risk today.
Bugs
Bugs: Many, and they were hungary.

Comments
Comments: First time on this mountain and found the views outstanding on North Peak. Wanted to make the side trip to Stone Mountain, but ran short on water. Bug were really bad coming down the Twin Brook Trail in the woods. I hope the dog I helped carry off the mountain is ok. I will be back to do his hike again soon, but I hope it is less eventful.
