Road is open and driveable as close as you can drive, road is already deteriorating. The road was opened earlier this year but looks like the work is done so I’d get it while you can. |

Got a late start but it’s a short hike but a slow one especially if you get and stay off any of the bushwack trails, it’s amazing how thick it can get off trail from the waist down at times can’t see the turf. Was a great breezy day and came in handy up top. Did this once before in the winter, a bit easier to stay on trail but up top just as easy to lose it because of drifting. At the spot where you enter the woods I was walking on small trees cut down laying on the brush trying not to fall through. I think I missed the trail right away. Either way a bushwack comes with a sense of accomplishment, I’ve only done it a few times. Gotta say winter is a better time to visit this one. |
