It had been about two years since I had hiked these peaks. They are beautiful peaks. 180 degree view from Bald and close to 360 from Speckled. FYI - This is not the Speckled Mountain in the Evans Notch area. Trail is in excellent shape with very little erosion. There is one area of this trail that is always muddy and there is now bridging through there. I also noticed for the first time that the trail extends beyond the summit. I followed the partially open ledges for close to a half mile before I had to turn back. I'll have to try it again when I have more time. |
