 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I took a wrong turn, following Gaia. It doesn’t show the dead end where a bridge is missing on Wiggle Brook rd. I think I was supposed to take Kennebago River rd. However, I got close enough to the peak to bushwhack, with one deep water bar I was glad to have a truck for. |

This route would probably not be good for dogs due to the insanely thick young regrowth. |

I took a rather ridiculous route up through old clearcuts, plowing through 5-8’ dense regrowth. Eventually I hit normal woods, and made my way to the summit of Snow. The log book is full. I headed south off the summit, good ferny woods at first but I then I was down in the THICK mixed regrowth. It was a challenge but I was enjoying myself, and the views were good and footing was good. I crossed the road in the bowl before heading up the next peak. Twin mountain is a 3500 footer but just had a sad soggy jar at the top. I hit the thickest stuff on the way back to the truck to finish my big loop, raspberry, hobblebush, etc, etc, just never ending until some wet grassy skid paths in a big cut, then eventually a drivable road not shown on the map, from 2200-2000’. A little bit thicker than I expected on this hike, but it was all really just young regrowth to plow through. I stayed fairly dry surprisingly too. |
