Comments
Comments: Southwest Ridge Trail (MacKay Pasture Trail) is in my opinion the best route up Pleasant, lots of open ledges with views along the way. Dry trail all the way up other than the few minor patches of mud which are easily avoidable. Took the side path up to the big cell tower on SW peak and then down the access road to get the additional views - to get back to the trail - head down road for 1/4 mile and then look for the small stream - just past this cut back left to get back to the trail - a few rocks note the cutoff- you head along a small path until you hit a sandy patch -just before a small pool of water - take a right and you're back on the trail and less than .5 mile to the summit. Cloudy and windy today but still great views. Met many people along the trail today.
