Today's hike on Quill Hill and The Mountain in Rome was our first mostly snow-free hike of the year. It was a perfect sunny spring day to hike a figure-eight of sorts across both hills. The trails were all in pretty good shape, and even the wet areas were relatively minor and manageable. The warmer weather and lack of snow does however mean that we picked up our first few ticks of the year. There were lots of people out on the trails on The Mountain, but we only saw two others on Quill Hill. |
