Tufts Pond Road was only plowed as far as Alder Road, so we parked there and walked the rest of the road. Two trucks had tried to continue past the end of the plowed road, and one was very stuck in the snow near the intersection with Shiloh Pond Road. There were still multiple feet of snow on the ground for most of the hike, and the trail was unbroken, so snowshoes were a must. After brief stops at Little Shiloh Pond and Shiloh Pond, we continued on to the waterfall on Reed Brook at the end of the trail. This was my first time visiting in the winter, and the trail, maintained by the High Peaks Alliance is a great place to visit year-round! |
