Hiked A.T. south from Abol Bridge to Hurd Brook Leanto. I am the campsite maintainer for the Maine A.T. Club and went in to repair the steps of the moldering privy. Carried in a few pieces of lumber and tools and got the job done. The trail had about 4 inches of new snow from Thursday's storm and was easy to bareboot. Katahdin looked great with its white snow cover with the blue sky background. A great day to be out on the trail. |
