I hiked up the uphill ski route from the golf course. When I bought a ticket for 30$ I got an email saying no hiking is allowed but ski patrol were fine with it. You just can’t hike down. I found the start of the sugarloaf spur on the summit behind the helipad. When I reached the AT there was a faint snowshoe track visible but it was covered in drifts. I broke trail across the AT to Spaulding and back, then down the AT to caribou road. The herd path from caribou road to the golf course wasn’t hard to find and was marked with tape just like last winter. There were faint snowshoe prints heading that way. There were three others doing this route today so it’s in good shape now. The AT from caribou road to the crockers did not look broken out recently. |
