Solo hiker ahead of us started packing down the new snow and breaking the trail. We followed behind and set up a nice walkway with our snowshoes. There are steep areas with rock just below the snow/ice so be aware when you are descending on the way out. The exposed peak does have a little ice which was manageable with the snow shoes. Saw some younger hikers bare-booting it on the way in and seemed to be doing okay. Would still recommend traction though. |
