Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 2 trees down on road after Stratton Brook Pond parking area. 7 trees down before first rock ledge on Fire Warden’s Trail. Huge pine down on rock ledge not far in on trail. I removed what trees I could, cut passages around some, picked up a lot of debris. Wind really hammered lower elevation.

Comments
Comments: Bare ground for first mile, then patchy then icy in spots. Water running down trail in areas. Microspikes after first mile. Steep section before Col very icy in places. Crampons would make it faster. At the Col started falling through deeper snow. Was lazy and didn’t bring snowshoes so turned around. Fine because super windy just at the Col and snow squall. So I was out.
