 | Comments: |
For our first snowshoe outing of the season, we decided to hike Colonel Holman Mountain in Dixfield. This is the perfect time of year to do it because you don't have to worry about wet sections of trail, and the snowmobiles aren't out yet. Conditions were perfect for snowshoeing, although we broke trail almost the entire way, which was hard work. The views were outstanding as usual, and all of the snowcapped mountains make it extra pretty this time of year! We did meet one other hiker with his dog on our way down, but we had the woods to ourselves otherwise. |
