Comments
Comments: Late afternoon jaunt on the CRT westbound to summit & back. Parked on the shoulder of Dame Hill Rd, walked to the trailhead on Indian Pond Rd. Variable depth heavy powder about 5" on average, lighter under evergreens, heavier drifted area on the ridge and at the field edge. Broke trail with snowshoes, probably could have barebooted but snowshoes were more advantageous for traction and drifts. No ice. Lots of deer tracks on the trail. Looks like no one has been up since before the last snowfall--from either direction.
