Threat of weather kept us from doing the Travelers Loop so this was a nice option leaving the campground. Steeper than I was expecting but not terrible. No views on South, but the rain found us for a bit. Nice views from Black Cat Mt even with the clouds. Trail detour at the bottom due to beaver activity, marked with blue tape & good signage. Fairly flat out on Pogy with nice views of both ponds. River crossing is bone dry, as opposed to 2 years ago when we had to look hard for a safe spot to cross. Overall a great hike with great friends. Couple of more peaks checked off in BSP! |
