 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
None of the roads in the Maine Atlas are named, but they're fairly easy to follow.
There is a bridge out on the Nit Picking Ridge Road at ~1750'. Looks like a couple of Jeeps went around through the woods. I did not attempt this with my truck. |

I followed logging roads and snowmobile trails for several miles until I was just south of SW Black Nubble. I then followed a skidder trail until it petered out and followed moderate regrowth to the recognized summit. I stayed south of the ridge in open woods until I hit thick regrowth near the saddle. I couldn't find a way around so just plowed through, following intermittent moose paths. Above the saddle, the woods had a fair amount of young regrowth and blowdown. I found better luck on the north side of the ridge. Much of the summit area is also regrowth, but not wicked thick yet. I followed the north slope down to the logging road, much of it regrowth. |
